Rick Tinsley joined Silver Peak Systems in 2004 as president and chief executive officer. In 1998, he co-founded Turnstone Systems, served as president and CEO for six years leading the company through a highly successful IPO. In 1997, Tinsley was an “Entrepreneur in Residence” with the venture capital firms Institutional Venture Partners and Benchmark Capital. From 1993 to 1997, Tinsley held various positions at Newbridge Networks, most recently as vice president and general manager with global operating responsibility for LAN Products. Prior to joining Newbridge, Tinsley was responsible for ATM products at TranSwitch Corporation and served as business development manager at Texas Instruments where he managed the startup of the TI486 program. Tinsley earned his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Dallas and a bachelor of science in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Mr. Hughes founded Silver Peak in 2004, and is responsible for the company's technical direction and product vision. He previously held senior architect positions with Cisco Systems, Stratacom, Blueleaf, and Nortel. Dr. Hughes has a PhD in packet network optimization and he has been awarded more than 25 patents for networking related inventions.
Eric Yeaman has served as Chief Financial Officer since joining Silver Peak in 2005. Previously, Mr. Yeaman served as Chief Financial Officer of Turnstone Systems. Mr. Yeaman has held various senior financial positions at Atheros Communications, Atmosphere Networks (acquired by Ditech Communications), Whitetree Networks (acquired by Ascend Communications), and KPMG. Mr. Yeaman became a CPA in 1995.
Mr. Cazares brings over 18 years of executive management experience to Silver Peak. Most recently he was vice president of sales at Intermec, where he managed all channels and direct sales for the company in the Americas region. Prior to Intermec, Mr. Cazares was executive vice president of worldwide sales at Firetide, where he led all field and sales operations for the company. Mr. Cazares joined Firetide from Packeteer, an early provider of bandwidth management systems, where he led worldwide sales, channels, business development, and field marketing through the company’s acquisition by Blue Coat Systems. Prior to Packeteer, Mr. Cazares held various management positions at leading networking companies, including ten years at 3com where he ran sales and marketing initiatives for various product divisions.
Mr. Cormier leads Silver Peak’s worldwide marketing efforts. He has more than 30 years experience in the technology industry, having led marketing at various data center infrastructure vendors, including McData, CommVault, and LeftHand Networks (acquired by HP). Larry previously served as Chief Marketing Officer and a board member for the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA).
Jeff Aaron serves as Silver Peak Systems' vice president of marketing, where he is responsible for the global promotion of the company's Wide Area Network (WAN) acceleration products. He has more than 14 years of networking and telecommunications industry experience. Prior to joining Silver Peak, Aaron led the strategic direction for product marketing for a variety of leading technology companies, including Cisco, Airespace, Turnstone Systems, and Newbridge Networks (now Alcatel). Aaron began his career as a senior consultant at Ernst and Young where he counseled and provided direction to Fortune 100 companies with LAN/WAN design and disaster recovery planning. Aaron is a regular speaker at industry conferences and has written articles and opinion columns in a variety of industry publications, including Network World, Computerworld, TechTarget, Optimize, and Telephony magazine. Aaron earned his bachelor of arts in Computer Science and Economics from Duke University.
Mr. Trimuschat leads the development of Silver Peak's strategic business and technology partnerships, enhancing the company's ability to sell WAN optimization solutions to leading global enterprises. Mr. Trimuschat brings over 20 years of industry experience to Silver Peak. Most recently he was senior director, worldwide corporate development and alliances at Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), where he was responsible for recruitment, enablement, and go-to-market partner activities for that company's NAS and Archive platforms. Mr. Trimuschat joined HDS through the acquisition of Archivas, Inc, where he was vice president of business development and alliances. Prior to HDS, Mr. Trimuschat held various management roles at leading networking, storage, and telecommunications companies, including Brocade, Scale Eight, and Silicon Graphics. Mr. Trimuschat received his MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and BS in Computer Science from Michigan State University.
Mr. Ennis has over 14 years experience building enterprise and service-provider networking equipment. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Systems Engineering and Chief Technologist at CIENA. Prior to CIENA, Damon was in senior management and technical roles at FORE Systems.
Most recently was a co-founder and the VP of Engineering at The Fanfare Group, where he built the engineering team and led product development from inception to early revenue. Prior to Fanfare Carl was the VP of Engineering at Turnstone systems. Before that Carl held various management positions at Newbridge Networks and Nortel Networks.
Mr. Leong is responsible for new customer acquisition and ongoing partner development throughout Asia Pacific and Japan. Mr. Leong brings over 21 years of industry experience to Silver Peak, including various management positions at leading networking, storage, and security vendors, including Packeteer (now Blue Coat systems), EMC, Computer Associates, Sun, and Palo Alto Networks. In those roles he successfully built out world class sales and support organizations throughout Asia and Japan, and established relationships with premier distributors, resellers, and OEM partners.
Mike Betz is responsible for growing Silver Peak’s presence in EMEA through partner development and new customer acquisition. Mr. Betz joins Silver Peak from Expand Networks, where he ran that company’s EMEA sales efforts. Prior to Expand Networks, Mike held various senior level sales management positions at leading hardware and software companies, including SMARTS (acquired by EMC), Whale communications (acquired by Microsoft), E.piphany, Oracle and IBM
Mr. Pinto is responsible for growing Silver Peak's presence in Latin America and the Caribbean through partner development and new customer acquisition. Mr. Pinto brings over 27 years of industry experience to Silver Peak. Most recently, he was vice president of Latin America at SonicWALL, Inc., where he was responsible for sales, channel development, logistics, and technical support for the company's Latin America footprint. Prior to this role, Mr. Pinto held similar management positions at leading networking and security vendors, including 3Com Corporation, Riverstone Networks, Audiocodes LTD, Philips Electronics, and Toshiba.
