Joint benefits

Silver Peak’s physical and virtual WAN optimization solutions are key enablers to extend Avaya’s VENA model across the WAN. Silver Peak’s focus on data-center class WAN optimization is well aligned with Avaya’s new 9000-series VSP (Virtual Services Platform) for data center to data center applications.  By reducing WAN bandwidth requirements and conditioning lower-cost WAN links to provide throughput similar to higher cost, dedicated WAN links, Silver Peak allows Avaya customers to deploy Avaya data networking solutions across disparate locations at a much lower cost – up to 10X less.

For the branch, Silver Peak’s virtual appliances run on the Avaya 4134 branch router and can optimize both data AND unified voice and video traffic – providing a complete data networking and WAN optimization solution tailored for unified communications in a single, easily managed footprint.

The Avaya + Silver Peak solution is one of the few solutions that offer an integrated branch platform supporting WAN optimization, routing, security, and SIP Gateway capabilities. The total (MSRP) of the combined solution is equal or less than competing solutions while offering significantly more value.
